Due to increased stream flows, I Tom De La Salle, pursuant to my delegated powers under section 10(1) of the Water Management Act 1999, issue an Opportunistic Take for the Great Forester River.
Water may now be taken by licensees under opportunistic take for irrigation purposes or into storage for irrigation purposes.
This notice takes effect from 09:00 Saturday, 20 July 2024 and will remain in force until the Great Forester River as measured at the Forester Road Bridge gauging station falls below 1200ML/d.
