Water Notice - South Esk River above Macquarie River, excluding the Nile River and Tributaries.

Due to increased stream flows, I Kym Honeychurch, pursuant to my delegated powers under section 10(1) of the Water Management Act 1999, issue a Surety 8 Flood Take for the South Esk River above Macquarie River, excluding the Nile River.

Water may now be taken by licensees under Surety 8 allocations for irrigation purposes or into storage for irrigation purposes.

This notice takes effect from midday Tuesday, 16 July 2024 and will remain in force until 12 midday Saturday, 20 July 2024 or the South Esk River above Macquarie River, excluding the Nile River as measured at the Llewelyn gauging station falls below 700ML/d.
